Mexican Politician Against Gay Marriage Says Lovers 'Should Face Each Other' During Sex

A conservative Mexican Congresswoman is the target of some controversy after she voiced her reasoning as to why same-sex couples should not marry.

According to the Huffington Post, at a marriage equality forum called “Matrimonio Igualitario” in Puebla, Mexico last month, Ana Maria Jimenez Ortiz said a marriage should only be among people that can “look at each other in the eye while having sexual intercourse.”

“Something that does not happen in homosexual couples,” Jimenez Ortiz said at the event.
