Whether coincidence or sweet irony, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin was back in the spotlight Thursday -- the same day Congress certified the election of Barack Obama and Joe Biden -- with the Web posting of a video in which she levels a barrage of criticism of the way mainstream news media covered her campaign.
In the video, a clip from an upcoming documentary being produced by John Ziegler, Palin at one point says of Couric, "Katie, you're not the center of everyone's universe."
Palin goes on to blast what she says was the mainstream news media's regular use of unsubstantiated and often anonymous blogging in its reporting.
"When did we start accepting as hard news sources bloggers?" she asked. "Anonymous bloggers especially. It is a sad state of affairs in the world of the media today - mainstream media especially - if they are going to rely on anonymous bloggers for their hard news information. Very scary."
Asked whether she regretted her interviews with Couric, Palin said "going back for more was not a wise decision."
