Grapevine: Chinese reporter works on her wedding day

Now some fresh pickings from the Political Grapevine...

Controversial Curriculum

Parents in Williamson County, Tennessee are asking school district officials there to re-think their curriculum after accusations that one particular lesson from a textbook is incorrect and anti-Semitic.

A local TV station says it came from this book used in a high school human geography class.

Parent Hugh Nemets says the book defines Hamas and Hezbollah as political parties while the State Department lists them as terrorist organizations.

He says the textbook has messages of anti-Semitism and poses this question to students -- quote -- "If a Palestinian suicide bomber kills several dozen Israeli teenagers in a Jerusalem restaurant, is that an act of terrorism or wartime retaliation against Israeli government policies and army actions?"

Nemets says that lesson -- quote -- "smells of anti-Semitism"-- and opens the door to legitimizing terror.

Last week, several parents expressed their concerns to the school board.

A school spokesperson tells Fox News, any formal complaints must be submitted in writing and, so far, that has not happened.

What's in a Name?

Next week, Little Rock's Airport will be re-named in honor of Arkansas' most famous couple.

But the New York Daily News reports, locals already have a nickname for "Bill and Hillary Clinton Airport" -- they are combining the first names to call it "Hillbilly Airport."

Probably not the message the developers in charge of the $67 million renovation project in Arkansas want to send. Some locals expect the former first couple to joke about the new name when they come to the dedication ceremony.

Call of Duty

And finally, call it true dedication to one's profession.

When a powerful earthquake hit China Saturday afternoon, TV reporter Chen Ying immediately went to work even though she was just about to walk down the aisle.

In her wedding dress and veil she reported on the disaster and interviewed witnesses on live TV.

The nation reports, she did eventually stop long enough to say her vows that day, before returning to work.

Since Saturday, Chen Ying has become an internet sensation with many praising her work ethic.

But no word tonight how her husband feels about the unusual wedding day.
