Do you dream of waking up each morning to the delicious smell of bacon, only to realize that you don't have any actual bacon in the house?
No? You don't? You've never dreamed of that, even for a second? In that case, you definitely don't want Oscar Mayer's new bacon-scented alarm clock app.
This new app — called "Wake Up and Smell the Bacon" — is exactly what it sounds like. Utilizing a scent-emitting gadget that attaches to your smartphone, the app releases the smell of bacon into the air when a pre-set alarm is scheduled to go off. Meanwhile, the sound of sizzling bacon accompanies the aroma.
Naturally, you can't simply download "Wake Up and Smell the Bacon," as it uses a specific piece of external gadgetry. To obtain the bacon-emitter, interested parties must must apply to become Official Bacon Beta Testers at WakeUpAndSmellTheBacon.com, where they will be prompted to answer three seemingly irrelevant questions about Oscar Mayer's pork products.
Those not selected as Bacon Beta Testers shouldn't fret, however. The app is currently available for download on iTunes, minus the bacon-scented attachment. In other words, it's just an alarm that replaces the buzzer with the sound of sizzling bacon. It's perfect for people who dream of waking up to the sound of a small grease fire raging away on their nightstands.
Wait, you've never dreamed of that either? That's crazy!
