A devoted dad is gaining supporters worldwide after sharing a photo of himself posing shirtless with his young son who was born with a congenital heart defect. Robert Selby, whose 3-year-old son Chace requires a feeding tube, fastened one of his own and glued it to his abs for the photo.

“My Mr. @stealyourheart #teamchace is sucking in his stomach, trying to show off his abs like his daddy but all you see are his little ribs,” Selby wrote in a May 22 Instagram post. “I just cut and glued one of his G-tube on me to show support for him and bring awareness.”

Selby, who posts under the username @thelifeofchaceelijah, went on to share that Chace was diagnosed with tetralogy of fallot, which causes oxygen-poor blood to flow out of the heart and into the rest of the body. Infants and children diagnosed with the condition may turn blue and require surgery to correct it. Chace has undergone two open-heart surgeries since his birth.

Selby shared that Chace requires a feeding tube because he is underweight due to the condition.
