Can you prevent a heart attack?
There are steps that can be taken to lessen your chances of getting a heart attack. Dr. Valentin Fuster, director of Mount Sinai Heart Center in Manhattan, and one of the leading cardiologists in the country, offers tips on what people should be doing to enhance the life of their heart.
What's the trick? Fuster told Dr. Manny Alvarez last week that keeping a person's weight and blood pressure down will help, as well as staying away from smoking. And most important, he said, keep exercising.
