Franken Berry, Count Chocula and Boo Berry haunt breakfast with a political twist

Chew On This: Franken Berry, Count Chocula and Boo Berry monsters are vying for your vote

Who has your vote this November?

Forget Clinton or Trump. General Mills wants you to consider a spooky selection this election season.

Franken Berry, Boo Berry and Count Chocula cereals are back with a politically themed twist.  For the first time ever, the cereals are going head to head in an online poll to determine which crunchy monster mascot is the nation's favorite.

Head over to the official Monsters Cereal Election website to meet the candidates, place your vote, and even print out free campaign posters. One lucky voter will win $5,000 but there are additional prizes, too.

General Mills first introduced the Franken Berry and Count Chocula cereals in 1971. Boo Berry was rolled out a few years later and the trio of limited edition breakfast bites have been an October staple for sugar lovers ever since.

But who’s going to win America’s heart—and stomach?

Our Chew on This tasters were all about the chocolate this year.

“Gotta have Count Chocula, he’s the best!” said one taster.

“Franken Berry is prettiest but what’s better than cocoa flavor in the morning?”

Voting ends on Oct. 31 and the winning cereal monster will be announced on the campaign website the next day.
