Shake Shack announced Thursday it's expanding the release of a popular fried chicken sandwich to its menu nationwide.
The Chick’n Shack debuts after the restaurant tested the sandwich this summer at its Brooklyn, N.Y. locations.
The sandwich features a crispy all-natural and antibiotic-free chicken breast with lettuce, pickles and a zesty buttermilk herb mayo. It has won kudos for its flavorful, juicy chicken and the sandwich become one of the top five best selling food items.
The release of the sandwich has been closely watched since reports surfaced last spring that Shake Shack filed a trademark application for "Chicken Shack." Danny Meyer’s burger chain is already a favorite among foodies for its attention to quality ingredients.
The $6.29 Chick'n Shack will be available at all domestic locations.
