Around 40 Chinese chefs banded together to create a massive pumpkin pie so large they needed a crane to assemble it.

The cooks were needed to chop, mix and bake the 1,893-pound dessert in Changsha, China, according to the Shangaiist, via China’s NetEase.

Though the exact recipe remains shrouded in mystery, dates, and raisins were added to tons of pumpkin and sugar to create the pie, which was nearly 14 ft. in diameter.

Cranes were used to pour and spread the material onto oversized steaming pans but reportedly only took 30 minutes to bake.

Portions of the pie, which was made this weekend, will reportedly be sent to a local children’s center.

Despite its enormous size, it still failed to set a Guinness Book of World Record.  That honor belongs to a pie from New Bremen, Ohio, baked in 2010 that tipped the scales at 3,699 pounds.
