'The Young and the Restless' star Eileen Davidson is leaving daytime drama again

Eileen Davidson is leaving the small screen once again.

“Yes I am leaving my second home [‘The Young And The Restless’] in September,” the actress tweeted on Wednesday.

“I’ve been so blessed to be able to play Ashley Abbott and work with the amazing people on the show and have nothing but gratitude and love for all!!! Time for a little more control over my day to day!”

Davidson, 59, first landed the role in 1982, but left in 1988. She returned to the soap opera in 1999 and stayed with the gig throughout her run on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” from 2014 to 2017.

The show was often discussed as part of her storyline, and she even gifted “RHOBH” co-star Erika Jayne a part on the CBS show for her birthday.

She recently took home a Daytime Emmy for best actress in April for the role.

Reps for Davidson and CBS didn’t immediately get back to us.
