Mark Ruffalo made a Hulk-sized mistake at the premiere of Marvel’s latest superhero film, “Thor: Ragnarok.” The star accidentally live-streamed a portion of the movie after forgetting to turn his phone off at the premiere.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the star was introduced by a recording of Jeff Goldblum’s character, The Grand Master, to spark excitement at the film’s L.A. premiere at the El Capitan theater. As stars often do, Ruffalo wanted to record and live stream the applause from the audience on his Instagram account. However, he neglected to end the live stream before slipping his mobile phone back in his pocket.
As a result, some 2,500 fans were able to hear audio of “Thor: Ragnarok,” in which he reprises his role as Bruce Banner/The Hulk, about three weeks prior to its official release. Fans reported that the star finally realized his mistake around 8:15 p.m. PST before any real damage was done.
The star posted a note to Twitter joking that the whole thing was intentional saying, "I felt bad you weren't there with me. I snuck you in. In my pocket."
Still, many on Twitter captured the conversation happening during the moments in question. While some simply laughed at the absurdity of what was happening, others balked at the idea of having the movie spoiled for them. Some even went as far as to brainstorm ideas on how to inform Ruffalo of his flub.
