Days after Jodie Sweetin went public with her split from fiance Justin Hodak, Fox News has learned the star's ex was arrested two times in the week prior to their breakup announcement.

A rep for Sweetin told ET Friday the "Fuller House" star pulled the plug on her two-year engagement. According to arrest records obtained by Fox News, Hodak was arrested and bailed out of jail on Friday.

An LAPD spokesperson told Fox News, Hodak was charged March 24 with California penal code 273.6(A) for violating a protective order. The LAPD could not provide any more information on the order.

Days earlier, on March 18, Hodak, who has a troubled past, was arrested for California penal code. 29800(A)1, which is when a convicted felon illegally possess a firearm.

According to TMZ, Sweetin called the cops on Hodak March 18 after he reportedly threatened suicide. This prompted the actress to tell police Hodak possessed a firearm.

A rep for Sweetin did not return Fox News' request for comment.

This is not the first time Hodak has been in trouble with the law. Court records obtained by Fox News show Hodak was found guilty of several traffic violations including driving without a license and speeding in 2006, 2009 and 2011.
