As anyone who has seen Jillian Michaels on "The Biggest Loser" or "Just Jillian" can attest, she doesn't give up until she goes the extra mile. So when she and her pregnant partner Heidi Rhoades weren't finding the answers they needed in traditional baby books, she decided to write one of her own.

"I was shocked and incredibly dismayed, on pretty much a daily basis, at how outdated or corrupted mainstream information about maternity has become," remembers the celebrity personal trainer and author in an exclusive interview with Fox News Magazine. "I wanted to put out an authentic source of information with no agenda."

Armed with her first-hand experiences and an "expert dream team" of doctors and dietitians, Michaels set out to compile an up-to-date guide containing everything an expecting family could want, from nutritional advice and meal plans to fitness guides and home remedies. The result? A 386-page tome titled "Yeah Baby!: The Modern Mama's Guide to Mastering Pregnancy, Having a Healthy Baby, and Bouncing Back Better Than Ever," which hit shelves earlier this month.

According to Michaels, however, the book doesn't stop at the baby's birth: She also shares her expertise in bouncing back after the pregnancy, and how to adjust to life with a newborn.

"Kids change your life, obviously," says the mother of two. "They ruin your life as you know it, but then your life is reborn, and it's far more rich and rewarding than you ever could have hoped or imagined."
