Hailee Steinfeld is opening up about her personal life, including her involvement in Taylor Swift's famous squad.

The "Pitch Perfect 2" star, who covers Seventeen's September Issue, sat down for an interview with the magazine, where she revealed one of the biggest misconceptions people have about the "1989" singer's inclusive group of famous friends.

"I think people think we spend a lot more time together than we actually do!" Steinfeld explained, adding, "She's amazing, though."

Apart from Steinfeld, Swift's squad includes supermodels (like Karlie Kloss and Gigi Hadid), actresses (like Cara Delevingne), and fellow singers (like Lorde, the Haim sisters and Ellie Goulding). So even if they aren't hanging out every night, she's in good company.

The 19-year-old Oscar nominee also got candid about being bullied as a kid, recounting a period of time "where every morning at 7:02, I'd get a prank phone call at my house."

"That's how I'd start every day, with a threat saying, 'Come to school now. We're going to kick your butt,'" Steinfeld shared. "I went to school early and went in the back way."

She continued, "There would be times when I'd come back to my desk and have hand sanitizer all over my books and in my water bottle. People would come by and slam my locker shut when I was still putting my books in it. It was just the most absurd things that you are supposed to see only in the movies."

The young star explained how her past struggles with bullying gave her a greater insight into her role as an awkward high school junior in the upcoming dramedy "The Edge of Seventeen," which hits theaters Sept. 30.

"This girl goes through experiences I totally went through, where it felt like it was the absolute end of the world," Steinfeld said. "Just having so many moments where you question who you are and what it is that you're good at and what you feel good in."

However, as she's gotten older, Steinfeld seems to have reached a place of understanding when it comes to her self-image, explaining, "It's so easy to forget that we are all so beautiful because we're unique."

Steinfeld's interview with Seventeen hits stands Aug. 9.
