Surprise! Alexis Bledel is a mommy!
The “Gilmore Girls” actress took a page out of Eva Mendes’ book and managed to keep the birth of her first child with husband Vincent Kartheiser a secret for months.
The couple – who secretly wed in 2014 – welcomed a baby boy last fall, her rep confirmed to Page Six on Wednesday, after Bledel’s co-star Scott Patterson accidentally spilled the news in a recent interview.
“It was great to see her. She's really blossomed as a woman and now she's a proud new mother and married and happy," Patterson told Glamour magazine in an interview posted Wednesday. “She’s just the most likable, intelligent person and adorable human being. She hasn’t changed at all. She looks the same.”
He continued: “We’re comparing notes because my son is about a year and a half older than her young son. I’m showing her photos and videos and what to expect. We’re just really enjoying each other’s company.”
Bledel, who is of Argentinian descent, and Kartheiser met in 2012 on the set of “Mad Men.” They got engaged a year later before secretly tying the knot in 2014.
Much like the news of their baby, the very private couple kept their nuptials secret for several months.
