New York Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez has confirmed his new romantic relationship with a red carpet appearance.

The 40-year-old baseball player attended the 2016 Met Gala on Monday night in New York City hand-in-hand with biotech CEO Anne Wojcicki – the pair's first public appearance since they were first linked in the media in March.

The 14-time MLB All-Star looked dapper in a tailored black tux while his new leading lady donned a white gown with intricate detailing on the bodice.

Rumors started swirling earlier this year that Rodriguez was involved Wokcicki, the 42-year-old CEO and co-founder of the billion-dollar genomics star-up, 23andMe, after they were spotted out and about – including the Vanity Fair Super Bowl party in San Francisco in February.

Rodriguez has made many headlines with past relationships with celebrity gossip fixtures such as actresses Cameron Diaz and Kate Hudson as well as pop star Madonna. His last known fling was with the model and former professional wrestler, Torrie Wilson.

As for Wojcicki, she was previously married to Google co-founder Sergey Brin for eight years. They separated in 2013 after Brin had an affair with a Google worker. Their divorce was finalized last year.
