We already knew Rumer Willis was a talented dancer, but we never realized she had some serious pipes.
Willis — who most recently played Roxie Hart in Broadway's latest production of "Chicago" — is currently putting her vocal talents on display in her own show at New York's legendary Café Carlyle. And according to the starlet herself, it's a "dream come true."
"I feel like so many incredible people have performed here," said Willis in an exclusive interview before her Café Carlyle gigs. "I'm just so grateful to have the opportunity … Epecially for my first my solo cabaret show. I'm really excited."
Fans should be excited too. In addition to a powerful rendition of Lesley Gore's "You Don't Own Me" (as seen the clip above), Willis loves performing an eclectic mix of hits, both old and new. "I've mixed in, I would say, something for everybody," said Willis. "I think there's a bit of Motown stuff, some jazz, and then I've also taken a couple of contemporary songs and given them that jazz and old-school flare.
"I think it'll be a set-list that will really appeal — hopefully — to everybody in different ways."
So now that she's established herself as an award-winning dancer and a Broadway-caliber singer, we had to ask: Does she have any other talents we don't know about?
"I actually really love to knit, which my sisters always find funny," Willis laughed.
