Alex Rodriguez is saying goodbye to baseball, and he also seems to be saying goodbye to his usual arm candy.

The New York Yankees slugger is dating a brainy, entrepreneurial woman – ready for this? – who actually may be richer than he is.

According to Vanity Fair, Rodriguez is now involved with Anne Wojcicki, CEO and co-founder of the billion-dollar genomics start-up 23andMe. Wojcicki, a Yale grad who is 42, previously was married to Google co-founder, Sergey Brin.

It’s certainly a change for Alex Rodriguez, 40, who has made countless headlines with his relationships with celebrity gossip fixtures such as actresses Cameron Diaz, Kate Hudson, and singer Madonna. He's also been known to cavort with a stripper or two.

His last known fling was last year with model and former professional wrestler, Torrie Wilson.

He and his new love have been seen together at various high-profile events, including at Vanity Fair’s Super Bowl party and a talk on genetics that Wojcicki delivered in Tampa.

An unidentified source was quoted in Page Six as saying: “Alex and Anne are spending time together and have been on a few dates. It is very new. He finds her interesting, inspirational and very smart.”

Wojcicki’s marriage did not end well. Brin had an affair with a Google worker. Vanity Fair noted that Wojcicki was “blindsided” by her husband’s extracurricular activities.

Wojcicki and Brin were married for eight years and are parents to two children. They separated in 2013, but divorced last year.
