Demi Lovato bared her soul in a candid interview that appeared recently in Complex magazine in which she touched on her relationship with boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama, her body and her new music.

She also dished about her up-and-down friendship with Selena Gomez. During the interview, Lovato was asked if she still speaks to the “Good for You” singer. Lovato apparently answered, “Nope.”

But it looks like that’s not true anymore.

The “Cool for the Summer” singer took to Twitter on Wednesday to set the record straight – pointing out that the former Disney stars posted an adorable selfie together just weeks ago.

“Interviews are done months and months before the issue is published," she explained. "[A] lot can change between then and now. Don't read into the bullshit.”

The 23-year-old Latinas have known each other since they were kids – growing up together on “Barney” – before heading to the Disney Channel with their own respective hit shows. They posted BFF videos on YouTube, collaborated on some music and even starred together in Disney’s “Princess Protection Program” in 2009.

But in recent years, their friendship cooled off. In 2010, they went through something of a falling out and didn’t reconnect until early in 2014.

However, that summer 2014, Lovato unfollowed Gomez on social media, saying that “I think it’s just one of those things where people change and people grow apart.”

It looks like they are growing together again. Lovato started following her old pal on Twitter in August, which Gomez followed by reaching out and tweeting the “Confident” singer on her birthday.
