Hoda Kotb kept her romance with NYC financier Joel Schiffman a secret when they first got together but now the "Today" co-host is opening up on her man.

"Joel showed me that anything is possible,” Kotb told Closer. “Like, at 50 years old you can have butterflies — you can feel that again. At 50, you can trust someone and realize that there are second chances in life. Joel showed me all of that.”

Kotb shared that Schiffman has a romantic side. "Every morning when I got to work, he sends me a text. Right when I'm sitting down, I get a text that says, 'I miss you,' 'I love you.' It's so sweet."

When Closer asked Kotb if a summer proposal was in her future she responded, "I don't know!" but added, "He is kind, he is honest, he is handsome."
