Demi Lovato was rushed to the emergency room Tuesday after the singer was having trouble breathing.
TMZ reports a friend took Lovato to Providence Tarzana Medical Center where the singer remained hospitalized through Tuesday afternoon.
Doctors tested the former Disney star and determined her illness was flu-related.
She was given a Z-Pak and is back home and "feeling much better today," her publicist told FOX411.
