Former Sports Illustrated babe Carol Alt handed out 3,500 gifts from a City Sightseeing bus Saturday for the Police Athletic League Holiday Toy Drive with Bill Bratton, Robert Morgenthau and John Catsimatidis.
But when the volunteers ran out of basketballs, “One teary-eyed little boy was left who had really wanted one,” a spy said.
So, “Alt disappeared for about five minutes and found one for him. The boy was so excited.”
