It looks like there is only room for one diva on FOX’s hit show “Glee.”
Rumors have been swirling over the last two weeks that “Glee” co-stars Naya Rivera and Lea Michele have been fighting on set. And now, PopWrapped is reporting that Rivera was fired from the show because of the ongoing spat.
The gossip website’s co-founder, Zachary Jaydon, tweeted Monday night that he had confirmed Rivera would not be appearing in the show’s season finale as planned.
Rivera’s status as a cast member for the show’s final sixth season was already unknown, though she was expected to return.
The show's rep told Fox News Latino they could not comment on the report. Neither the actress nor “Glee” creator Ryan Murphy has released a statement on the matter.
The two actresses, both 27, have reportedly been feuding for weeks. The tiff allegedly blew up April 15 when they had an argument that prompted one of them to storm off the set, TMZ reported.
Sources told TMZ that cast and crew were annoyed by Michele's "diva antics," like making them all wait to shoot a scene, and Rivera complained to producers, which angered her co-star.
Us Weekly later reported that things had not improved on set since.
“They’re always ice to each other,” a source told Us Weekly. “Naya is jealous that Lea is the show’s main star… There is a lot of sighing and eye-rolling between them.”
Another source said, “They talk behind each other’s backs – a lot.”
Both actresses have had to endure hardships over the last year. Michele is still recovering from the death of her boyfriend and co-star, Cory Monteith, while Rivera recently ended her engagement to rapper Big Sean.
While Rivera has stayed mum on the rumors, she did tweet Tuesday morning: "SO excited to watch Glee tonight! #doowop #shirleymaclaine #fancy."
