Miss Alabama USA 2012 Katherine Webb and AJ McCarron are making some major moves.
The duo, who gained national media attention when Webb’s good looks were noticed during the 2013 BCS Championship game, are now engaged and plan to shoot a reality show about their upcoming wedding, Webb’s sister Laurie told The Plainsman.
“They’ve already started filming during the proposal,” Laurie Webb told the newspaper. “From what I understood, it came from someone else. I don’t think they were trying to get into a reality show, I think they just had the opportunity and decided to take it.”
Laurie Webb will be the maid of honor, and she said that the show has yet to find a network.
The beauty queen’s father added, “As reality shows go, this would be a wholesome one for sure.”
Her mother told the paper the reality show has been a long time coming, as producers have been reaching out to Katherine since the BCS game. At the time, Leslie Webb said her daughter wasn’t ready to do a reality show, but now the timing seems right.
Laurie added that a show about the pair’s wedding is fitting since they want cameras to capture their special moments.
“They think it’s a great opportunity,” Laurie said. “They can also have a documentation of special times during their life, which will be kind of cool.”
