Taylor Swift isn't really known for her sparkling sense of humor, and her previous comedic efforts are only slightly to moderately funny, at best.

But this time around, she's clearly had some help.

The 24-year-old singer made public her latest "For Your Consideration" video for the upcoming Academy of Country Music Awards, and in it, she repeatedly mocks herself and displays a bit of self-deprecating humor. Co-starring Scott Borchetta, the head of her Big Machine music label, Swift's "For Your Consideration" video is a bit of a meta-joke about making her "For your Consideration" video. Take a look:

The clip begins with Borchetta checking his "Taylor To-Do List" and realizing that he hasn't yet made the video, which prompts him to call the country starlet herself. Instead of taking acute interest, Taylor puts him on hold to engage in a variety of very Swift-like pursuits.

Her first order of business? Doing her nails. ("Ugh, I hate the left hand," she mutters.) Then, it's on to commiserate over boy problems with a friend — specifically, the fact that her friend's recent ex-boyfriend has already found a new gal ("That's a little fast, and I'm saying that," Swift remarks). And of couse, she plays with her cat.

Meanwhile, Borchetta quietly going nuts on the other end of the line. "If I didn't know better, I'd swear she was playing with that ****ing cat," he says to himself.

Swift submitted the video in the hopes of being considered for Entertainer and Female Vocalist of the Year (among three other honors) at this year's ACMs, which will air April 6 on CBS.
