Actress Eva Mendes Is No High-End Shopper: 'Nothing Gets Me Like A $4 Dress'

Eva Mendes is a successful working actress making great money, but the A-list Latina revealed there is nothing like a $4 dress.

The 39-year-old actress stopped at the “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” this week and while talking about her upcoming spring clothing line with NY & Co, she revealed that a lot of her clothing comes from the racks at Salvation Army and Goodwill.

“I just love the find, looking, and I am cheap, so I really like that – a bargain,” she said with a laugh. “Nothing gets me a like a $4 dress. I mean it’s amazing.”

“So I get them and then what I do is make the repairs at home on my own and stuff like that and now I get to do that on a larger scale,” Mendes said about her vintage-inspired clothing line.

The “Hitch” star also took some time to address the pregnancy rumors that have been swirling in recent weeks and cheekily mentioned her boyfriend Ryan Gosling when talking about Valentine’s Day.

“I am not a big Valentine’s Day person,” Mendes said. “I will probably just order a deep dish and watch ‘The Notebook.’ Just cry and weep.”

As to the pregnancy rumors, the actress emphatically said she was not pregnant.

“This all started because I didn’t want to go through the scanners at the airport – those X-Ray scanners that are really creepy,” she said. “They basically see you naked and not to mention there is a radiation aspect to it. So I always opt out. I always ask for a personal pat down.”
