Taylor Swift, who can start and end a relationship faster than you download her newest single, is Seventeen’s … love columnist?

In the magazine’s November/December issue, out Nov. 20, Swift advises Seventeen’s young readers on “how to grab their crush’s attention, how to steer clear of guys who are trouble and how to tell you’re in a relationship that needs to end.”

Ending a relationship is definitely something she knows a thing or two about! Most recently, Swift, 22, called it quits with 18-year-old Connor Kennedy in October. Before that the country singer dated Taylor Lautner, Cory Monteith, Joe Jonas, Lucas Till … to name a few.

So what advice does she have for Seventeen’s readers?

Swift has some thoughts on what to do when “you’re stuck in the friend zone.”

More On This...

“Don’t chance ruining your friendship by chasing him before he’s ready,” Swift says. “You just have to wait for him to turn it into something more, if and when he wants to.”

The “Love Story” singer also has advice for how to detect a bad boy. (Cough, cough, John Mayer.)

“All you can do is be honest and real with him as you get to know each other,” she advises. “Deciding not to play games is the best way to go because it keeps things simple: If he messes it up by playing around with your heart, you’ll know he doesn’t deserve you. You were real with him, and he didn’t return the courtesy. Someone else will!”
