The parents of Jessica and Ashlee Simpson, Tina and Joe Simpson, have filed for divorce.
But there's more.
The National Enquirer says the reason is that Joe Simpson has come out as gay to his family.
The family has denied the report.
According to a rep for the Simpson family, the split is “amicable” and there is “no third party involved." They were also adamant that “any other related allegations are completely false,” before adding that “the family appreciates your respect for their privacy at this time."

Tina apparently filed for divorce last month in Texas, citing “discord or conflict of personalities” as reasons. She married Joe, more commonly known as “Papa Joe,” in 1978.
