Lindsay Lohan once again became the subject of drama and mayhem, reportedly involving a police presence, at her Beverly Hills home on Friday afternoon.

TMZ reported that her father, Michael Lohan, attempted to stage an intervention to get his troubled daughter into treatment, claiming that she was surrounding herself with "a bunch of alcoholics and drug addicts." Yet someone claiming to be her boyfriend apparently shooed him away and a trespassing report was made, prompting a police arrival.

When FOX411's Pop Tarts asked Michael Lohan if his daughter was going to rehab, he remarked that she "is a tough one" and that her entire team was in on the intervention. He hopes she seeks help, but he was not able to determine whether her alleged "relapse" was related to drugs, alcohol or both.

A representative for the actress told us that Lohan is busy promoting her forthcoming Lifetime movie, "Liz & Dick," and that they "are not commenting on this craziness."

Another source close to the actress was also perplexed by the recent charges that she perhaps had fallen off the wagon.

"To my knowledge, she is doing OK," added the insider.

TMZ also reports that Lohan is predictably angry at her father, claiming that he is merely pretending to be concerned about her welfare. Mama Dina Lohan, too, reportedly is upset about the showdown and told the website that her daughter "wants nothing to do with her father," and yet she accused him of stopping at nothing to worm his way back into her life.
