This week’s Fox 411 Country round-up is a follow up on several huge artists as they continue to make news!

Alan Jackson paid us a visit at LP Field and the superstar gave us details on his 14th studio album Thirty Miles West.  You’ll find much more on this personal new collection of his on Fox 411 Country soon.  In the meantime, we highlight a milestone for Jackson, as his album has debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums Chart, making it his 13th album to do so.

We also caught up with Little Big Town at LP Field June 9th as they rehearsed their hit summer song “Pontoon” which Kimberly Schlapman noted is fitting for the summer season because “It’s all about being on the water, if you got a Pontoon that’s perfect, but if you don’t just get in the water and have some fun”.

The group also told us about their 6th Annual Ride For A Cure Event which was June 10th.

The motorcycle ride portion of that event ended up being cancelled due to the weather but the show went on with performances and an auction.  Overall the event raised over $55,000 for The T.J. Martell Foundation. The Foundation specializes in finding cures for Leukemia, Cancer, and AIDS.  One of the biggest auction items was a guitar signed by Little Big Town, Rascal Flatts, and Edens Edge.

Another artist we got a chance to talk to, country music legend Kenny Rogers!  He stopped by backstage at LP Field and told us about his busy summer ahead.  Then he went on to make news the next day at the 11th annual Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival when his longtime friend Lionel Richie made a surprise appearance joining him on stage for a duet of “Lady”.  See the Round-up for more details on where Kenny Rogers is headed next.

Enjoy!
