When you think back to '80s singer Sinead O'Connor, a few things immediately come to mind: Shaved head, the Pope, and oh yeah, her model-esque good looks.
And while O'Connor is no doubt the soulful singer she always was, at 44, she barely resembles her former self.
To be fair, O'Connor has four kids and is in her forties, so you can't expect her to be the Natalie Portman-lookalike she was in the '80s.
Plus, O'Connor has always shied away from her good looks, shaving her head to mask her femininity. The stark fashion statement seemed to match her hardcore political stance: In 1992, she infamously ripped up a picture of Pope John Paul II on "Saturday Night Live" to protest sexual abuse in the Catholic Church.
But 19 years later, many people can't believe this is the same woman behind the gigantic 1990 hit, "Nothing Compares 2 U." "Full House" actress Candace Cameron Bure was among those shocked by O'Connor's transformation, tweeting:
"Is this really Sinead O'Connor? I honestly can't tell it's the same person."
