Lady Gaga's album Born This Way brought online retailer Amazon.com to a crawl.
The Associated Press reports that an Amazon rep noted high demand for the MP3 version of Born led to delays in downloading Monday. Before you get excited about what this means for the long-recessed music industry, keep in mind that the standard edition of the album was being offered for a mere 99 cents.
By Monday night, the system had caught up with the demand and Born was back to doing what it was made to do: sell copies.
