William Levy’s long- term companion, Mexican-American actress Elizabeth Gutiérrez, announced that she and Levy are separating—this time for good. They have two children together.

After eight years, and countless rumors of Levy stepping out with co-stars such as Maite Perroni from soap opera “Truinfo del Amor,” Gutiérrez and Levy are calling it quits reports entertainment website EnelBrasero.com

“I have made the decision of ending my relationship with William Levy,” the gossip site quotes Gutiérrez as saying.

“I’ve always stood firm by William’s side, despite the constant rumors, which at the time I ignored because I had no reason to doubt the strength of our union.”

The actress also states how she is looking out for the well being of their children by separating from Levy.

“I’m staying determined with this choice of ending this relationship for the best of my children and for me as well,” Gutiérrez said, according to the site.

“I confess that coming to terms with this decision has not been easy, but I deserve respect, first as a person, as a woman and as a mother.”

Levy, who stars in Jennifer López’s new music video “I’m Into You,” has been accused of wrongdoing for years, especially by his former assistant Jorge Luis García, who gave a tell-all interview with Mexican gossip magazine TVNotas a few month back.

Due to past media attention and comments made about her relationship with Levy, Gutiérrez says she wants to be the first in confirming the split from the Cuban hunk.

“I am personally making this public to avoid speculations and misunderstandings, with the goal in mind of protecting the emotional health of my two children,“ Gutiérrez told En el Brasero. “I am grateful to the press and news outlets for respecting the situation, keeping their distance and the consideration that they’ve shown towards my family.”

As of now, Levy has kept mum about the news with no statements to the press or on his Twitter account.
