Halle Berry and ex Gabriel Aubry may have seemed like they split completely amicably, but it appears that the former couple is gearing up for a custody battle for their 2-year-old daughter.

But on Dec. 30, Aubry filed a petition to request both joint physical and legal custody of the child, as well as support, E! reports.
Aubry reportedly wanted to protect his own rights.
The couple split after five years when Aubry reportedly “just felt it wasn’t working anymore,” Radar Online reported.
