Cinema Audio Society Nominates "Modern Family"

The comedy series “Modern Family,” starring Colombian actress Sofía Vergara, has been nominated for a Cinema Audio Society (CAS) award in the “TV Series” category.

The 47th annual ceremony will be held at the Crystal Ballroom of the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles on Feb. 19.

"Modern Family" will be competing against Showtime’s “Dexter” and the musical series “Glee,” among others.

Past nominees for the “Outstanding Achievement in Sound Mixing” award include Zoe Saldana’s “Avatar” and Eva Longoria’s “Desperate Housewives.”
