Guess who plans on running for LA mayor... or not. Comedian George Lopez from "Lopez Tonight" joined "Good Day LA" on Tuesday, and said for the first time that he might run for mayor of Los Angeles in eight years.

The actor, who will be performing at the Nokia Theatre on Dec. 26, 27 and 29, joked that he might consider a run after his contract expires.

"I'm going to run for... Although I don't believe I'll pass the background check now... I do intend to run for mayor at some point of Los Angeles... In eight years," Lopez declared on the morning show.
