Colombian actress Sofía Vergara has been nominated for a Golden Globe in next month's 68th award ceremony in Beverly Hills.

The “Modern Family” actress is eligible for the “Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-series, or Motion Picture made for Television.”

Spaniard director Alejandro González Iñárritu also scored a nomination in the “Best Foreign Language Film” category.

Venezuelan star Edgar Ramírez received a nomination for his role in “Carlos,” where he played Ilich Ramírez Sánchez, a Venezuelan revolutionary who created an international terrorist organization that raided the OPEC meeting in 1975. The movie itself was also nominated in the “Best Miniseries or Made-for-TV Movie” category.

Christina Aguilera’s film “Burlesque” was nominated in the categories of “Best Motion Picture- Comedy or Musical” and for “Best Original Song.”
