An Almost Unrecognizable Kathy Ireland Sheds Beer Gut

Okay, maybe she didn't get her tummy from drinking beer, but it sure was big!

Okay, maybe she didn't get her tummy from drinking beer, but it sure was big!

That's what Kathy Ireland admits in the current issue of People Magazine, on stands today.

"I didn't recognize the person I saw," she said, refering to her heavier self. "I saw someone who looked overwhelmed, overstressed, overweight, over-everything."

Raising three kids and running her billion-dollar business Kathy Ireland World Wide had made the former "Sports Illustrated" model look more like Homer Simpson.

Today, with diet and exercise, Ireland is almost back to where she wants to be. So is she going to follow Valerie Bertinelli, who wowed the world last week with her turn in a bikini on People's cover?

"No, that's not my goal," says Ireland. "I want to be healthy, to be there for my husband and my kids."
