Report: British Soldier Killed in Afghanistan

A British soldier from 3rd Battalion The Rifles was killed in an explosion in southern Afghanistan Thursday, Sky News reported.

The serviceman died near Sangin in Helmand Province Thursday morning.

It came as Sky News sources revealed a gunman who shot dead five British soldiers is back with the Taliban and is "safe."
