British Police Charge 'Night Stalker' With Serial Rape of Elderly Victims

British police investigating a series of attacks on elderly people stretching over two decades say they have charged a man — known by many as the 'Night Stalker,' — with rape and indecent assault.

Delroy Grant, 52, from south east London, is charged with raping eldery victims dating back to 1992, Sky News reported.

Grant appeared in court Monday and is due to appear back in court on Thursday. He faces five counts of rape, six counts of indecent assault and 11 counts of burglary.

British Police say the arrest comes after the largest hunt for a serial rapist they have ever mounted.

Authorities say the 'Night Stalker' specifically targeted men and women aged 93 years and older, striking areas across southern parts of London, Sky News reported.
