Strengthening winter storm to sweep through Northeast

A strengthening winter storm will sweep through the Northeast today and tomorrow bringing a stripe of heavy snow to parts of the Ohio Valley, Great Lakes and interior Northeast and New England. Locally heavy rain could also cause flooding where the temperatures are too warm for snow near the coast.
We could also see some strong thunderstorms later this afternoon through the Mid Atlantic.
The rest of the country will enjoy a fairly quiet day.
