High pressure to keep Eastern US quiet and comfortable; Four Corners flood threat continues

High pressure will keep the Central and Eastern U.S. largely quiet and comfortable today.
The threat for flash flooding across the Four Corners region continues as monsoonal moisture remains in place.
Hot temperatures will gradually build across the Desert Southwest and portions of California over the next several days.
