AG James and Mayor Hochul messed this up.

"The law recognizes that it's very tough for women to come forward on these things. You can go forward without the complainant, that's baked into the cake. If you can make the case, you go forward. Nobody even asked. It shows you how politicized this gets. So, taking the politics out of it, which unfortunately is going to be difficult now because we've all run to our various corners and because Kathy Hochul is fighting for her life to keep her governor job. Same thing with Tish James. They now have this hyper-politicized case where getting to the truth through the murk of hyper-intoxication is going to be really, really difficult.”
