“No, I'm not telling Republicans to stay home in the midterms, okay. No, I'm not blaming President Trump for this. I believe that he is the mass deportation president, and I believe that is what he wants to do. No, I am not saying that our ICE agents and our Border Patrol agents are not doing their job. No, it is not them. I know that they want to do their job, and I know that they are doing as much as they possibly can. And I know that they are risking their lives every single day. And they have had a tremendous personal sacrifice to everything that they have done. So, none of those things are my position on it. My position on it is I want people to turn out for the midterms, but I don't believe that this softening message is helpful.”
