Mangione trial judge allows gun, notebook as evidence
Eric Shawn reports after a New York City judge allowed a gun and a red notebook as evidence in the trial of Luigi Mangione, while suppressing other evidence from a warrantless search in the accused of killing United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson.
A New York State judge ruled on key evidence for the trial of Luigi Mangione, accused of killing United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson. The judge allowed the alleged murder weapon and Mangione's red notebook, found at the police station, to be admitted. However, evidence from an improper, warrantless search of Mangione's backpack at McDonald's, including a gun magazine, cellphone and passport was suppressed.
