The young orangutan was born in December to mom Jahe — and has already become a star attraction. The baby was born via cesarian section, something uncommon among orangutans. The zoo assembled a specialized team that included veterinarians, an OB-GYN and a neonatal nurse to help with the delivery and recovery. Orangutans are critically endangered.
