10-foot alligator, apparently hungry for a snack, captured outside Florida 7-Eleven

Deputies in Sarasota, Florida, shared this video of a 10-foot alligator that was wrangled outside of a 7-Eleven, apparently in search of a snack.

Sarasota police responded to a call early in the day after residents reported a 10’3” alligator lingering outside the 7-Eleven located at 2751 N. River Road. Officers arrived to find the large reptile near the storefront and captured it to prevent any risk to customers or drivers in the area. Authorities say the removal was necessary due to the increasing frequency of similar wildlife encounters and the safety concerns created when large alligators appear in populated locations.
