Hegseth says Trump admin had the authority to conduct lethal cartel boat strike

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said Thursday that the U.S. military had the "absolute" authority to strike a Venezuelan boat carrying nearly a dozen suspected Tren de Aragua gang members in the southern Caribbean on Tuesday.
