Police and Florida State University officials alerted an active shooter incident on FSU’s campus in Tallahassee. According to an emergency message from FSU Alerts, all staff and students were to shelter in place as police responded to an active shooter call at the student union. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement confirmed it was “actively engaged” with the incident on FSU’s campus. Footage filmed by FSU student Ryan Cedergren shows people evacuating near the student union building and police arriving at the scene. “I was in the FSU student union. We were just evacuated by police and are safe. Sending fervent prayers to all impacted, and huge thank you to FSU police, Tallahassee police, and everyone who came to help,” Cedergren wrote in a post on X. (Credit: Ryan Cedergren via Storyful)
