Here’s one toll fee that you can’t pay with a couple bucks.

A Virginia man who dodged paying for access to the Dulles Toll Road from Reston, Va., to Washington, D.C., for nearly four years has been slapped with a $40,000 bill.

Jason Bourcier, 33, said he didn’t pay the fee for a variety of reasons, two being that he was unemployed at the time and sometimes didn’t have quarters, Fox 5 DC reports. He also told NBC Washington that a friend told him the road was free to drive on late at night, which is false.

The Virginia Department of Transportation took Bourcier to court this week, originally charging him $202,000 for the missed tolls, plus late fees and interest. But the bill was lessened in court.

“They provided me with a stack of summonses that was 12 inches high, and me and my lawyers, the best that we could do was $40,000,” Bourcier told NBC Washington. “Another kicker is they put me on a payment plan for $150 a month.”

Bourcier said he will have to pay until the year 2067, when he is 87 years old, according to Fox 5 DC.
